"Finances are a taboo subject. No one talks about them, yet everyone worries about them. Let's challenge the traditional ways of thinking."
In 2009, I looked at myself in the mirror and decided that I needed to make a professional change. It would be a challenge changing careers, but candidly, I was no longer motivated by my work and did not feel that I was bringing value to those around me.
It was in that year that I found financial advising and for the first time in my life (despite running my own business) I didn't have a job, but a career.
Finances are a taboo subject. No one talks about them, yet everyone worries about them. In school, we are not taught about money or how money works. We are flooded with advertisements about financial services companies and products, but never information about how they can or should be used.
These are two of the reasons I got into this business: to help those I care about navigate this financial abyss and challenge the traditional ways of thinking about financial planning (which leave much to be desired).
